Growing up, my mom always had a journal on the side table of her infamous La-Z-Boy chair. She would write down her daily to-do’s, along with the dreams of her future.

Going pen to paper was her sacred space in the chaos of life to really slow down, get organized and most importantly, to stay connected with herself.

Ever since I was a little girl, I so respected this highly intentional aspect of her life. 

I inherited my love of writing and journaling from my mother, but it was particularly ignited — by the divine intervention of my 8-year long fertility journey. 

Because when life ends up going in a different direction than you had planned — and you find yourself in the midst of “who the hell am I?” and “what the hell do I do know?”… you have two options: 

1. Consult the outside world on what you “should” do. 

2. Consult your one, true self. Your spirit. The one that really knows the way. 

Consulting the outside always led me down weird, wrong directions. I remember showing up to a hypnosis’ home residence in the dead of winter thinking, “Wtf am I doing here?” But I was willing to try anything to get pregnant.

I didn’t really start to create change and gain momentum to my baby, until I started consulting and asking questions with one person and one person only.

MYSELF.
